It depends: Passing frothy urine now and then may be normal, as a full bladder and rapid, forceful urination can be a common cause. But if your urine is persistently or increasingly frothy, it may be a sign of protein in the urine (proteinuria), and evaluation by a doctor would be warranted to rule out a serious kidney condition.
