Ovoid refers to the: shape (oval). Hypodense means "not solid". We usually refer to these as "cysts." Cysts may be empty or fluid-filled. They are generally benign (not cancerous or dangerous). Keep in mind that the liver cyst is small, about 1/2 inch in diameter. Of course you should get more info from your doctor but most likely you'll get good news. Dr. Anne
