Trochanteric: bursitis ...an inflammation of the bursa (fluid filled sac) which acts as a "shock absorber" may present this way. Suggest you see an Orthopedist who can conform this diagnosis and treat .(usually a cortisone shot does the "trick" Hope this is helpful Dr Z
