A 22-year-old male asked:

is benzoyl peroxide 5% photosensitive? should i use it only at night ?

Yes and no.: Benzoyl peroxide can cause photosensitivity, but that doesn't mean you're restricted to using it at night. Apply a good broad-spectrum sunscreen (spf 30 or higher) every morning, and limit yourself to a sensible amount of sun exposure. And you'll want to stay out of tanning beds as well.

How am I supposed to apply clearasil (benzoyl peroxide) ultra rapid action treatment cream?

Apply thin layer. .: to all areas of the skin that have acne after gently cleansing the skin and drying. It works both to reduce redness and swelling of active lesions, but also helps to open the pores and prevent further pimples. As it may be drying, start with once daily for a few weeks, and then increase to twice or three times daily if well tolerated. It can be used on both face and back but avoid your eyes.

Go back to doctor: This is not normal and needs a rapid diagnosis because it may be a complication of the colonoscopy which can become rapidly worse and very severe. Do not delay, see the colonoscopist asap.
