Possible...but: highly doubtful. Not only are the tube tied, but usually the cut ends are cauterized.

They don't become: untied...and pregnancy after tubal ligation is rare. But it does occur. To interrupt the transit of an egg down the tube tubes can be tied together, clipped, banded, cut or burned shut. Surgical errors: incomplete/inadequate closure of the tube, recanalization/reopening of the tube or a fistula/tube developed to the peritoneal space with improper healing. Estimates: 1.8% over 10 years...RARE!
