Lip: Sensory nerves cannot penetrate scar. Either leave it alone or get intralesional cortisone injection, 2-3 at 3-4 week intervals. this may soften up scar. Return of sensation +/- Can have scar excised. No subcutaneous or dermal sutures (will causes more scarring. I use 4-0 silk interrupted sutures.
