Paresthesias: This feeling can have many causes. When they are this diffuse they are usually not neurologic (not because of a nerve or stroke). Electrolyte abnormalities such as potassium, calcium, magnesium, or even sodium may be a cause. Hyperventilation or overall deeper breathing gets rid of too much carbon dioxide and can cause the same condition. Seek out medical attention immediately for weakness.
