Is it normal for a nasal scar to form a thick layer of mucus over it? have a scar in my nose that had a lot of old mucus and blood on it. just curious

Yes: This is very common. Avoid frequent touching of scar to help it to heal faster. Vitamin E liquid (over scar; or can open up a Vit E pill) can help as well. Do you have any other sores elsewhere? Lips?
