A member asked:

Hi. my friends chest xray reveals suspicious density overlying the 5th right posterior rib. what does it suggest? is there a chance that this is tb?

You need a CT: Your question is very nonspecific my friend. "Suspicious" is a vague term without clarification of what it is suspicious for. Could it be a density as dense as bone? Then it might be something growing from the rib. If not quite as dense, it could be anything from pneumonia to cancer. TB is also possible. A CT scan will help narrow down the possibilities.
