Depends on blood : If your serum (blood) potassium levels are low then an increase in urine potassium is a problem since the kidney should be holding onto potassium in this situation. Possible causes are hyperaldosteronism (too much aldosterone) elevated bicarbonate (sodium bicarbonate) levels, gittleman's or bartter's syndrome, or a renal tubular acidosis. Go see a kidney doctor. If levels are ok then the increase in urine k is ok.
