Treating Ulcers: That would depend on what kind and what caused the ulcer. Many ulcers are in fact caused by an infection with helicobacter pylori or "h. Pylori". This treatment would include antibiotics.

Where are ulcers?: Stomach ulcers are treated differently from pressure ulcers. Former can be fixed w/antacids etc & by getting rid of h pylori infection. Shifting weight regularly to remove pressure is best way to allow pressure ulcer to heal. Plus eat enough calories & protein. If ulcers due to infection, need antibiotics. If due to autoimmune condition, need to provide supportive care & possibly immunosuppressant.

Simple treatment: Diabetes causes nerve injury.This means loss of sensation below the ankles.Foot deformity may occur. Poor sensation means injuries and problems advance before they are found and get worse quickly.Treatments include sugar control, keep the ulcer surface healthy and clean with debridements, moist wound dressings and absolutely keeping the ulcer away from any pressure. No antibiotics unless infected.

Topical OTC products: These lesion come from the chicken pox family. They lay dorment on the nerves and when stimulated by stress or trauma they appear, it takes 7-10 for them to resolve. Most treatment is pallative to sooth them. Stay away from citric food and spices when you have these.
