Period post partum: The first actual menstrual period (not lochia) post delivery is usually fairly heavy as Mother Nature eliminates all of the "extra" endometrial material and blood vessels leftover from the placenta's departure. Track your periods for the next 3 months to see if this 2 day duration will continue if you are not already on hormonal contraception.
