BNP is just one of: a number of pieces in the puzzle to assess the presence of CHF. Your ECHO is another as is your clinical assessment and examination. BNP can be elevated by other clinical conditions. Being in Afib for a period of time can cause your BNP to elevate as well. Listen to your Cardiologist and ask for an explanation if necessary for reassurance.
