No not at all: When you are under anesthesia you are sedated and usually paralyzed and all your breathing is done with machines that pump air into your lungs or by the anesthesiologist with a hand pump. As you emerge from the anesthesia you take weak breaths far apart so they supplement your oxygen until you are breathing fully and adequately on your own. They should tell you if there was a problem. you can ask
