Why the test: Why did they test you in the first place. As this bacterium can cause severe disease, I would treat it also. It can be spread to others. But why did they test you in the first place. It sometimes follows taking antibiotics.

Carrier: Carriers of c diff, even though they have no symptoms, can transmit the infection. Unless they are in a hospital or nursing home, they often are not treated but advised to be very careful about hygiene after bowel movements. A consultant in infectious diseases can advise you best on whether you should be treated.
