Emphysema can't be cured because it is irreversible lung destruction. Smoking causes it, as well as other less common causes. To stop progression, stop smoking and other exposures. Other less common lung conditions may or may not be reversible.

Depends: Having big lugs is not necessarily dangerous. Tall people can have big lungs. It may also be a sign of hyperinflation or trapped air in the lungs. This is associated with emphysema or asthma.

Yes: Smokers and former smokers can donate their lungs; we obviously only use lungs from light to moderate smokers. Heavy smokers lungs are usually to impaired to be used for organ donation.
