Habits & Hair Loss: Diet has little effect on hair loss. There are suggestions that too much Vitamin A and too little Vitamin D in the body can affect hair growth. Salty foods and junk food do not affect these vitamins much and therefore don't cause increased hair loss. However, they may lead to an increase in blood pressure, blood sugar, and weight and it may be wise to be careful with junk food.
