Sleep deprivation: slows the normal nightly decline in cortisol level and may produce stress-like condition during which some people experience hyperfocus temporarily. However the long-term effects of interruption of the cortisol and other hormonal regulation can have detrimental effects and contribute to illness. Each person is advised to determine their optimal sleep amount. Best regards for good health.
