Constipation: Constipation is when the feces/poop are hard and large, and can cause difficulty in having a bowel movement. Drinking lots of fluids and eating lots of fiber can help, and over-the-counter laxatives are effective if the initial methods don't work. Try not to strain too hard as that can cause hemorrhoids (they are enlarged veins in the anal region) to form.

Hard stool: Consider increasing your water intake and adding more fiber to your diet ( fruits, vegetables, seeds, fiber supplements, etc.). Have you doctor review your medications to see if they may be contributing to this issue and add additional medications to treat this if necessary.
