Clarification.: A liver FibroScan is used to detect fibrosis, also known as cirrhosis. The units of measurement is kPa. Based on published information, a score higher than 7.2 indicates fibrosis. A score higher than 14.5, in the presence of specific medical conditions, means cirrhosis. You should follow up with the provider who ordered the test to review your results. Hope this helped.
