Due to taking clozapine i am given a bld pack to take to my local docs to have my bld taken monthly if a blood vacutainer is opened breaking the vacuum will it still be able to draw blood? also small white spots have appeared should it still be used?

No: Do not use broken tubes for blood or with white spots in them they will not work will not be effective and can be harmful. Contact your physician to get a new supply

Do not use: If the vacuum is broken the vacucontainer will not be able to draw blood from the vein. If there is any foreign material in the tube, it shouldn't be used anyhow.
