Vaginal spotting: Bleeding which can mimic a menstrual period may be due to other causes. Sometimes a prolonged period can occur from twin ovulation which produces more thickened uterine lining, hence longer bleeding episodes. If this continues, get a serum HCG test to make certain you are not pregnant. See your provider for an exam.
