A member asked:

Is it ok too talk too my family doctor about issues with my vagina or would that just be my gyn?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Both: If your FP is unable to take care of your routine vaginal concerns then see a GYN MD. Of course, the GYN MD is an expert in these affairs as a result of extensive training. If you already have a GYN MD then see them primarily for the these issues, if not, see the FP until it is beyond their expertise as most FP's will then refer you to the GYN MD at that point.
