It may actually be : a small contusion caused by minor trauma that you don't remember. It is really not unusual to get a bump on the head while sleeping--on bed frame for example. It would be safe to watch for a few days. You probably don't need pain killers I would guess.If it persists 2-3 weeks or more, see your doctor for evaluation. Remote possibilities include migraine or neuropathy/? nerve impingement. Stay well
