No: Mebendazole is not an antibiotic that would harm the gut bacteria.It selectively targets the nervous system of parasitic worms like pinworms or ascaris that can affect humans. Once the mebendazole interacts with these worms they die and are shed from the body in the stool.You can take probiotiics every day if you wish, but this med does not create the need for it.
