Curious how long after swallowing a zofran 4mg or 8mg pill does it have the effect of vomit prevention if taken at the onset of nausea caused by ibs?

That: depends upon whether you have an empty stomach! A full or partially filled stomach will delay the absorbtion of the medication...other wise 30 minutes should start the pill's effect(s) Hope this helps! Dr Z
