Hard to say: Some of the psychiatric medications are known to trigger birth defects in a percentage of exposed fetuses.There are also many psychiatric medications that have little effect on the fetus.If she could switch to a med with less problems childbearing might be less worrisome.However, it sounds like she is not aware of this possibility or not interested in the idea.
