Bacterial vaginosis: KOH prep can be checked for "clue cells" and if present, that's usually indicative of bacterial vaginosis that is usually characterized by fishy smell and thin, whitish, grayish or greenish color. For bacterial vaginosis, metronidazole often works. Further cultures to determine what bacteria might be needed. Other differential diagnosis should include rectovaginal fistula.
