Concerning: If your child has evidence of some form of a skin lesion overlying the spine and is now spiking fevers, I would be concerned about a spinal abscess developing. It could be something trivial causing the fever but it is not worth taking the risk. Please visit your doctor immediately for further evaluation

? related: If the spot is not red and swollen, it is unlikely that it is related to the fever. Watch for other signs to appear to sort out the cause of fever.
