No: Costochondritis is not a cause of palpitations. Chest pain/discomfort with palpitations should should be evaluated for alternative causes. Heart rhythm problems may or may not be the cause of the chest symptoms. Best is to see a doctor for formal evaluation and since symptoms are ongoing, , would consider this evaluation to be done promptly.
