A member asked:

Can diet changes, not drastic but higher than usual sugar intake, cause a late menstrual cycle?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Unlikely: Dietary changes can cause a late menstrual cycle, but these are usually extreme changes in the diet with very low calorie intake. Some variation in menstrual cycle is normal with a normal menstrual cycle being anywhere from 21-35 days.
