Hello i have been having right side abdominal pain near my navel. sometimes it travels to my back. what might this be? thank you.

Right side: Distress in that area may be from inflammation of gall bladder or kidney stone. Appendicitis is always a possibility but the discomfort is usually in the right lower abdominal area. I recommend that you be examined by a physician or surgeon and appropriate tests will be ordered. If the pain is currently present, get examined in the hospital emergency room where evaluation and testing are done now.
