No. It should not.: Foot drop is caused by a peroneal nerve injury. Driving a commercial truck should not make the foot drop worse unless it originates from the lower back. It may be difficult to drive with a foot drop injury. Please followup with your primary doctor if you have worsening symptoms.

Varies: The term foot drop refers to a weakness in the ability to dorsiflex the ankle, can be complete or partial, and has many potential causes including impingement of the L4 nerve in the back or the peroneal nerve at the fibular head; or a wide range of neurological conditions. If the foot drop is complete and chronic, unlikely it can worsen with driving. If partial, can worsen depending on cause.
