Just started setraline 25mg yesterday and my mood has been great today. is it possible for it to be working already or is it just placebo effect?

Placebo effect: Antidepressants work at the receptor level, in varying ways, to increase transmission of neurotransmitters (NT) b/ween neurons. Their mechanism of action relies on: the PRODUCTION of proteins (from the amino acids we consume); how well the drug is metabolized (which can be hindered or accelerated by other drugs/foods/supplements); whether a therapeutic dose is achieved...so anticipate 2-4 wks.
