TMJ-like pain: There are several treatment options. Certainly stay in touch w/your family doctor. You are seeing a chiropractor. Consider seeing an Osteopathic Physician (DO) who does osteopathic manipulation. It's something like chiropractic. Ask your dentist about the situation also. One or a combo of the above can prove very helpful. Peace and good health.

See a dentist for TM: The position of the atlas and axis are affected by your bite - and vice versa. The chiro realigns, but putting your teeth together, drives them out of position quickly. Adjustments cannot hold. A bite appliance that is made in a neutral position with the atlas is the right place will stabilize the neck and improve your symptoms. See a dentist trained in neuromuscular TMJ treatments.
