I get yellow liquid dripping out of one nostril every once in a while and its happened for years. I have to either blow my nose until I get the chunky yellow out of let it drip down my throat. Going to an ENT soon but wanted to see if any ideas?

Sinuses particularly bad right now. Saw ENT, they said CT is ok and didnt know what to tell me. Today Im getting no/little air in nose, face pain, little/no mucus. Should I try an allergist? How can I get relief? Nothing ever works.
Can you have chronic post-nasal drip without a blocked nose (I.e. Breathing through nose fine). Throat clearing and phlegmy too. Might be reflux...?
