Coughing increases: the pressure in the thorax which reduces the normal blood return to the right side of the heart. This can result in a sudden drop in blood pressure and dizziness or fainting. The treatment is for the cough not the dizziness. A persistent cough for a few weeks needs to be evaluated and treated. You probably have developed reactive airways.
