Missed miscarriage, 6.5 wks took cytotec at 11wks to abort. 6wks later hcg 59, had methotrexate. 3wks later still have hcg of 34. why wont it go down?

It should over time: Methotrexate causes slow deterioration of the HCG producing chorionic villi and as a result serial HCG's are done to note if the result is trending downward or not.
