ACL tear: soccer: An ACL tear can usually be fixed by arthroscopic surgery, and return to active sports is usually a matter of a few weeks, depending on the surgeon's advice. See an orthopedic surgeon, and see if this can be done by arthroscopic surgery.

You may not need any: Go to a really good sports medicine orthopedist at HSS in NYC or Mayo in Minnesota or MGH in Beantown and you just may need a really good PT program.
