Hello. i need help identifying a scab on the shaft of my penis. i had recently hung out with someone, but there was no actual sex involved.

Hung out?: If by hanging out you mean there was any contact with your penis you need to get checked for an STD. There are many things that can cause scabs on your penis- including syphilis and herpes. See you doctor or a local sexual health clinic for full testing and use condoms

Need more info: It could be just a scab, but you are likely to remember having had any trauma to your penis. It really should be evaluated. Any unprotected (or inadequately) protected sex at any point in your life puts you at risk for STD, which is the most concerning thing based on your symptom. Even if you did not have sex this time, it could be something in the recent or even remote past. Get checked out.
