Hello,i have been on narcotic medication for about 10yr for chronic intractable pain.what vitamins/amino acids are being depleted? i had gastric bypass in 2010 to reduce weight on my spine.issue=absorbtion. what do i eat to make sure i absorb meds?

Bypass: B12 and Folate are often sacrificed in Gastric Bypass and I would consider supplementing that. As to medications, I would talk to your doctor. I do not see your meds listed. Medications with or without Gastric Bypass have different absorption. Some with foods or not and some interact with different medications.

Many: Are the narcotics affecting your appetite? Which type of bypass may control some of the answer. Many need pancreatic enzyme supplements, plus more vitamin D, calcium, zinc, and magnesium than normal: best taken in multiple doses thruout the day
