A member asked:

If you only drink 3-5 cups of liquid a day (i have a desk job at an office) could this lead to dehydration and cause frequent lightheaded/dizziness?

How much water? : The right amount to drink depends on metabolism, diet, activity, & weather. The common advice of 8 glasses daily is not supported by science. The body tells you when to drink water: thirst. Symptoms of low blood pressure may include lightheadedness. Some young women need to drink more water and eat some salt to manage this. If symptoms are concerning, see your doc or consult on HealthTap.
