Why: Why do you have to stop the Cellcept? Mesalamine is an anti-inflammatory so if you stop it there is a chance that colitis symptoms could get worse. However, it doesn't mean that you would automatically get worse if you stop it. Cellcept modulates the immune system and yes the risk of a flare up is higher with SLE especially if you've been well-controlled on it in the past. Chat with your GP.
