Dr. wants me to take hydrochlorothiazide for my blood pressure. only 12 mgs. i read there's an interaction with ibuprofen. i just take 1 advil. a day.

No Problem Here: Hydrochlorthiazide if taken with Ibuprofen will increase the blood level of ibuprofen by acidic drug competition for renal tubular clearance.But the dosage of both the meds you are taking is so small as 1 advil only has 200 mgm of ibuprofen and it will not cause any problem and may make advil more effective for pain.And 12.5mgm od Hydrochlorthiazide is also a small dose.Discuss with your doctor.
