Multifactoral: pepsin reflux (non-acid) probably more at work in your case. This is why PPIs may not help. Suggest looking on PubMed for articles. Weight, diet habits, caffeine, peppermint, smoking, late meals, esophageal sphincter problems, etc. all factors. Not limited to these. best to see ENT or gastroenterology for refractory LPR symptoms. Esophagram, multichannel impedance probe testing, 24-hr pH probe
