I am sick with a virus and i nasal spray for allergies and yesterday when i used the nasal spray it hurt and it has before. why would it hurt now?

Irritation: If you aim your nasal spray towards the middle and center of the nose, you may experience some irritation (assuming that you are using a nasal steroid). If you are using nasal decongestant sprays, repeated uses tend to cause irritation. Do note that nasal spray for allergy does not work on a cold.
