Depends: Depends. Can be normal when just starting periods to have spotting and some cycles which are irregular if you are younger. However if this is a change from your usual period pattern or you have recently had an injury in the area, you should see your doctor to have medical problems ruled out.

Yes: irregular spotting and bleeding is very common. In most instances it is just irregularities in the cycle and will resolve. Occasionally there can be other reasons (cervical irritation etc.) so if it persists I would get checked
