Evaluation: See your physician to make sure that IUD is in place, there is no pelvic infection, contraceptive failure or other non-IUD related causes of bleeding. It will help to decide the best treatment.

Many possible causes: Any new, abnormal, or unexplained vaginal bleeding requires professional evaluation. There are many possible causes and it probably has nothing to do with your IDU. STDs are always a consideration in people your age. See a doctor soon. Good luck!

The iud maybe on the: Sometimes this could be a sign that there is something such as a fibroid or the IUD ipartially expelled.Have an exam as soon as possible.
