You can, but why?: is it causing you more side effects? or is it a financial burden? mind you this is the lowest dose, and at your age you may be taking it for a familial type hyperlipidemia, so you may need more not less. Your best bet is to discuss that with your treating doctor who may advise an alternative or adjust the dosage, best wishes
