Is insulin resistance reversible? if so, how?

YES!: Yes, but it is under your control. Drastically change your diet to minimize any processed foods, avoid gluten and dairy. Exercise often - both aerobic activity and strengthening such as yoga. Good luck!

YES: Increase exercise. Eat much less calories, less sugar, little or no red meat. Gluten not relevant. As your weight goes down, as your exercise increases, your insulin blood levels will decline. If you have PCOS or if you have a borderline A1C you will benefit from metformin. As you become more muscular and less fatty you will be able to discard it as your insulin returns to normal.

Diet, exercise, supps: Yes. The key is a low-glycemic diet (emphasize organic veggies and quality protein, minimize sugars/starches), and exercise, which will help you lose weight. Take a quality multivit. with added chromium and lipoic acid. Berberine and other herbs can help- consider GlucoFunction from Pure Encapsulations.
